Norfolk Sky

Sunday 12/8/07 Norfolk Sky

It is so nice to be here, we had a lovely restful day today. We made a brief trip to Stalham to buy groceries then this afternoon we sat out in the garden enjoying the sun. It takes time to unwind and forget the everyday concerns of home, but relaxing in the garden looking out across the beach with only the sounds of the sea in the background feels so good. There is something about the huge Norfolk skies and the power of the sea that helps to put everything back into perspective. I took this picture this evening, the sunset was amazing.

Help He's Driving Me Mad!

Not a very good end to the day. Sam had one of the sort of mishaps that could only possibly happen to him. He 'accidentally' dragged a magnet across the TV screen and damaged the picture quality. Thankfully Robbie was out at the time so Sam survived! I found an interesting site with some thoughts about curing the problem. Are there any experts out there who can offer advice?

Robbie was in the car when I picked Emily up this evening. We saw a 'plain clothes' police car with blue lights in the front. That set Robbie off, out of the blue (so to speak!) he asked if I remembered Kojak. The simple answer was no, nothing more than the name and the lollipop anyway. Suddenly Robbie opened the car window and slammed his hand on the roof of the car, in an effort to recreate the sensation of Kojak slamming the blue light on top of the car at the start of a car chase. He repeated the process including the GBH to the car roof for Starsky and Hutch and the Sweeney. By this time my nerves were in tatters, but just to make completely sure that I would be a jibbering wreck he serenaded me with police siren noises in various American accents. If only I could afford an ejector seat!!
