This morning I was feeling a little unwell, and I sat up in bed and glanced at a book to distract myself from feeling off colour. Robbie asked what was wrong and I told him, he rolled over and was instantly asleep. Later when I was feeling better he cuddled up to me and said that he didn't know what to do to make me feel better so he went back to sleep. I couldn't help laughing out loud, I think that is what you call male logic!

In an attempt to make amends for his earlier neglect he got out an old version of Bakers Rail Atlas and embarked on an exhaustive (and exhausting) lecture on the changing use of Rugby station over the years. I thought he was finally concluding the monologue when he jumped out of bed and retrieved another book and I realised that there was only one solution. The book was called Changing Tracks and it contained a frightening number of photos of stations mostly in the midlands area. I gave up and surrendered to sleep, Robbie could cut the NHS bill for sleeping tablets dramatically! He must have got the message because a few minutes later I opened my eyes to find that he had also nodded off. I thought I had finally got his attention when he cuddled up to me, but he spoiled it, by asking me if The Now Show was still running on Radio 4! I should be used to him spoiling the moment by now, but it always surprises me.
