A Con Trick 20.12.07

When Robbie finally got home from work yesterday it was almost 10pm, he was in a horrible mood and ready to fall out with his own shadow. The cause as usual was the dreaded Network Rail, I will spare you the details of their latest madness, but it comes as no surprise that their failure to communicate efficiently and their lack of understanding of the wider implications of their actions has caused considerable extra work for everyone - including themselves. It has also caused endless earache for me! At times like this there is only one way to shut Robbie up, feed him! Once he had been fed he recovered his equilibrium sufficiently to apologise for his strop and to help me with the final preparations for Sam's birthday, he is 13 today. He was still chuntering about Network Rail thinking he must be a fool, but I ignored it. This morning it turned out that we have both been made fools of in our own home! We finally worked out that Oreo, Dave and Megan have all been having two breakfasts everyday. It seems that they have been getting one meal from Robbie at 6am and then at half past eight they were getting a second meal from me. They are real con artists because they all acted as if they were starving and they ate every bit of their second breakfast, I had no idea that they had already eaten.
