Railway 'Music'
Having a husband like Robbie means that trains play a fairly significant part in my life, there is little I can do about that so my only choice is to enjoy it or endure it. I made that choice long ago, I am not going to waste my life enduring stuff. By showing an interest in Robbie's train obsessions I have found areas within it that interest me, and often they are quite different to the things that float his boat. I like railway history and I am more interested in freight than Robbie is, but perhaps the most significant difference is my interest in railway sounds. It all started when I travelled to Kings Norton on a 323 and realised that when it pulled away from the station it sounded just like a fruit machine. Until that point I thought electric's were boring, but that got me fascinated and I found that they all have their own signature sound. Robbie thought I was mad as he hadn't really noticed the different noises (he makes too much noise himself!) but it seem I am not mad after all, lots of other people have noticed it. Have a look at the link below, unfortunately the forum attracts a few lame brains but the you tube clips are good especially the first one.
