Paper Trail

Paper Trail Saturday 18th August 2007

We have been here for a week, in some ways it feels like five minutes and in other ways it feels like an age. I love it here and much as I miss the girls I am in no hurry to drag myself back to reality and the dreary routine of term time. I intend to savour every moment of our second weekhere and any thoughts of our ordinary routine at home can wait.

Today we went to Mundesley, there is a big sandy beach there and a very nice restaurant. We treated ourselves to lunch. It was really nice, but slightly marred by Robbie having a strop about his Guardian. On the way to Mundesley Robbie waited until we were driving past the shop at Walcott before asking to stop. I couldn't stop safely and I suggested that he could pick one up in Mundesley, but I knew we were in for trouble when I glanced across at him and saw his arms folded and lower lip jutting out like a sulky toddler. Mundesley is not a Guardian sort of place and his search proved futile, so after our time in Mundesley he had me driving all around Norfolk (well, to Stalham actually) in search of his paper.
