Emily and her boyfriend Sean have joined us on holiday for a couple of days. I was concerned that they would have a horrible day because we had a short but incredibly sharp shower mid morning. After that it brightened up and the sun broke through, then the rest of the day was warm and pleasant. I didn't realise until I watched the evening news that places nearby must have had much more rain than we did, because there was flooding at Norwich and the sea front at Cromer struggled to cope with such heavy rain. 
Emily, Sean and Sam had a lovely time in Cro
mer in the afternoon, then in the early evening they went down to explore the beach. Then as it got dark we watched the bats flying about, they fly so fast it is hard to see them properly, but they are fascinating to watch.
