Sam has been very keen to visit Newquay Zoo, so today we left Robbie behind (he is not a zoo person) and headed off to the zoo. It was a very good day and it is hard to choose a favourite animal or exhibit, but the tropical house would probably my choice, I also loved watching the red pandas. Sam loved the tropical house, they had huge bats hanging in the tree canopy. Everytime we go to the zoo the tortises seem to be 'misbehaving' and as usual Sam found it very entertaining. He was also fascinated by the stunning markings on the rear end of a Zebra! I don't know why they have those markings, he will have to do a bit of research.
